Reflections on Blogging

Blogging really didn't bother me but I really didn't enjoy it either.  Sometimes I did just blog because but most of the time I did it because I was told to.  Yes, I believe that I could make my own blog and keep it up, it really wouldn't be that difficult.  I think that people who blog for money are smart because its easy money.  The only other blogs I read are my friends in this Exploring Tech class.  The experiences with this classroom blogs were actually pretty fun because they were all fun topics to write about. 

National Egg Day

 

I probably wont prepare for egg day because I wont celebrate it.  Yes, I do enjoy eating eggs, my favorite egg dish is probably a Mushroom and Swiss Omelet.  I believe that this is another silly "National" day because I bet that not a lot of people even know that it is egg day tomorrow. 

National Month For??

I think someone set up months to celebrate unusual things because they got bored one day and just came up with unusual things to celebrate.  I don't think people actually celebrate them because most people don't know of these unusual things.  Three things that are celebrated in May are Mother's Day, American Bike Month, and National Nurses Week.  One thing I would like to celebrate in this month is National No Shoes Day because it would be cool to see everyone walking around with no shoes. 

This Past Weekend

This past weekend was overall pretty fun.  On Saturday I had a tournament with Varsity, we won the first game against Emanuel Christian 12-2 and we lost the championship game 4-2 against Madison. I pitched the second game and did really well being it was only the second time I pitched for them.  If the bats were alive that game I think we would've won, we should have won.  Then on Sunday I stayed home and worked around the house then later that night McKenzie came over and we hung out. 

Violence on TV!

I think the amount on of violence on TV is ridiculous because there is to much of it going on.  Yes, those shows should be on after a certain time because it is showing little kids bad things and then they think they can go out and do it.  I am guilty of watching violent movies/shows but they are some of the best movies out there and I know that it isn't right to do any of it.  I think TV shows have so much violence because people like watching it. The picture  I included is a show called Dexter and its about a guy who goes out and kills criminals for a living while working for the police.   The appropriate age for this show would probably be 15 and up. 

Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo is a day in Spanish history when they defeated the French in a important battle.  This is celebrated because of a great victory.  Only the Spanish should celebrate this day because it only involves their people. 

Today being National No Homework Day I plan on doing no homework tonight.  I am not sure who decided it but it sure as heck sounds pretty good to me. 

Prom

I also think that Prom is very overrated.  It is too much money to go for one night just to go and dance for a few hours and usually you go to dinner before hand, which is more money being spent.  Prom is just Sub Deb or any other dance, all that goes on is drama, drama, and oh wait some more drama.  No I don't really know what happens at after Prom but its probably not good things at all. 

Earth Day!

Earth Day means that everyone on that day should not liter, they should recycle, and used water from the faucet.  People should do this everyday but only seem to think about doing those things on Earth Day, which is disappointment.  Unfortunately I have not participated in any kind of celebration on Earth Day, I will definitely try from now on.

               2.   There are actually two Earth Days — the April 22 holiday and the one celebrated on March 20, the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and the autumnal equinox in southern latitudes.

               3. Though Earth Day may now be synonymous with small-scale tree planting and volunteer cleanup projects, the first Earth Day actually had its sights set on bigger political projects

Spring Break

On Saturday I went bowling with Quinn, Blane, and Andrew.  We went around 6 and bowled until 8.  For the first few games I bowled pretty good but towards the end I fell apart and started messing around.  Blane bowled strong through the night with some pretty high scores.  Quinn and Andrew just did awful.  Then after that we came back to my house and played the Wii.  The teams were Quinn and Blane and then Me and Andrew.  My team beat them almost every time.  Then a little later we watched a funny movie and we all fell asleep. 

Baseball

This years JV Sand Creek baseball team should be pretty good considering we have a few kids that play on look outs and everyone else are just all around players   We have infielders that can play outfield and outfielders that can play infield.  Our pitchers are looking solid along with our catchers.  So I believe our season is going to be a positive one.

Cheaters Never Win!

If I saw a friend cheating on something then it would depend on how close we were for me to turn them in.  If they were one of my close friends then no I would probably not turn them in.  Now if it were someone that I never really talked to and is known for cheating then yes, I would definitely turn them in.  The reasoning is I don't want one of my friends getting in trouble but if it were someone I didn't know then it wouldn't be that big of a deal. 

Photography Composition

This is an important picture because it shows what the Jewish people went through.  Any picture taken of the concentration camps or any thing like that is important.  We need to know what happened to these people and why it happened.  In my point of view it happened for no reason. 

Testing!

I feel that testing all of the time is useless.  Our education does not really rely on testing.  If there weren't any tests then we could just do a presentation on the topic or write a paper.  The standardized tests just determines how much funding the school receives, they do not help the students at all.  I don't think there could be a fair standardized test for everyone because everyone is at different learning levels.  I have actually done pretty good on the tests but because I'm a good student in school and actually pay attention.

Top Four

One thing that is very important in my life is my family.  My family has always been there for me, therefore I feel it is my responsibility to always be there for them.  The next thing is friends.  Without friends I would sit at home all the time and be bored out of my mind.  The next would have to be ATVs and/or snowmobiles.  I am on a four-wheeler or snowmobile all the time and never get sick of riding them.  Last but not least food.  Food keeps me going and gives me energy to make it throughout the day and for that I thank you.

Popular President

I believe that Abraham Lincoln had the greatest impact because he stopped slavery in the south.  The hardest thing about being a President is the decisions you have to make.  If you make the wrong choice then you will ,without a doubt, get criticized from the people.  No, I would never want to be the President because you always have that fear of getting assassinated.  If I were to run for President my campaign pitch would be "Vote for Spence!"

Charity Event!

If I had an extra $100,000 to spend on other people I would first buy all my friends sweet snowmobiles so we can all ride.  Then I would give back to my family, probably get my Dad's car done and get whatever my mom would want.  After that I would give money to my church because it is just a little church and hopefully with the money they would pay to get a building of their own.  Right now we are in one of the Siena Heights buildings, maybe later on down the road we will end up with a different and bigger building.

I want out of here!

The place I would want to be right now is on a beach.  I'm tired of all of this cold weather and snow because after awhile it just gets old.  I would want to be skiing or surfing rather then stuck in side all day.  The only thing I enjoy about the snow is being able to ride my snowmobile, you can't do that on the beach.

Bug Out!

If I could be any kind of bug I would be a stick bug.  Stick bugs are so cool because they are good at blending in with their environment.  When you are in the woods and you are looking for a stick bug it is really hard because not only do they look like sticks but their color is brown almost exactly like a real stick, so you could say that they also have good camouflage.  The last thing is they move really slow so that you don't notice them when they are moving, just another cool fact about them. 

Final Exam

I think the tool I am going to use once I graduate is probably going to be blogging.  I am just going to keep updating it to let my family members and friends know how I'm doing if I move somewhere far away from them.  So basically to keep in touch with every one.  I would probably just blog once a week like on a Friday so I could tell everyone what my week consisted of.  Another way is if I have a job I could post stuff to my fellow employees like if I cant make it or my schedule for that week.  And the last way is to just let people know what my interests are, who knows maybe I'll find someone on there that is a lot like me.  I have chosen this tool because blogging is really simple and doesn't take that much time unless you are going to type a hug paper on here or something like that.  For those who don't know what blogging is, its just you getting on a blogging website and sharing info about yourselves and then other people get on your page and look at all of your posts, its pretty fun to be honest.  The tool that I think I will never use again is Google Drive because I never really understood Google Drive and it was pretty difficult to operate, well for me it was. 

Vacation Time

Over vacation I got into a bad four-wheeler accident.  I was riding down the road with my friend McKenzie and I was messing around and hit a patch of ice.  I spun around and landed my side in a ditch then my four-wheeler landed on top of me.  I ended up with 7 fractured rips, a bruised lung, and my left leg is messed up pretty bad.  So all in all I guess you could say that my break was not the best.  But I'm thankful for McKenzie pulling me out of that ditch and that I'm not in worse shape than I already am.
